CONSTRUCTION WITH MATTER AND DATA

The lecture engages with the development of an ecology network taking in consideration conversation and information exchange and basis for every act of design, every act of Gestaltung. An introduction based on cybernetic principles leads via a discussion on the extension of the human towards a ‘machine’ presenting projects developed in ‘Urban Material Intelligence XS-XL’, a research class taught by Liss C. Werner at TU Berlin. Specific focus is given to projects featuring cyber-physical systems, such as ‘A Cloud recycling Light’ and ‘Dynamic Field’, presented at this years eCAADe in Rome.
