Obela Cidre glass – 3D print and more

Tactile Architecture designs glass for 3D-printing

OBELA is a glass series initially designed with the Lithuanian Cider Obela in mind. The glass is aiming at combining elegance with a hint of sturdiness to communicate the beverage’s character. Currently we are engineering the prototype design further for 3D-printing and glass manufacturing. For the 3D-printed glass we are using food-safe to assure health and safety. Highly transparent PET filament as a material provides material robustness and flexible application. Due to the printing process and material behavior of the melted filament each glass is unique in surface texture and light reflection. Our glass manufactured version give a traditional tectonic and sensory quality combined with the refraction and reflection of light hitting the material.
